Had a wonderful stay at MGM Whispering Winds, Yelagiri. The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway, especially with family. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered a calm atmosphere away from the city rush. A special mention to Amarnath, who made our experience truly exceptional. He was extremely attentive and took great care in catering to all our personal food requirements for our baby. His support and hospitality made a big difference to our stay. Overall, a great place to unwind with good service. Highly recommended for a family-friendly staycation!

Best choice in Yelagiri for family travellers. Safe , easy short paved road access from main road with well marked out signs. Spacious and safe parking in gated campus. Easy access by foot to all cottages , small resort but well designed. Decent greenery all around - well maintained gardens. Clean comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Food choices are decent, even if not very elaborate - all menu items are sometimes not available. Staff are friendly and willing to address any issues. Room service could improve to be quicker and rooms sometimes do not feel quiet - neighbors’ footsteps and noise filter through the modular frame construction of cottages although this is not a deal breaker. Big shout out of appreciation and thanks to Resort Manager Mr. Vikram and his F&B team especially Mr. Sai and Mr. Chandru who were always available on phone for any questions and requests. Will visit again @ Yelagiri.

The location and overall atmosphere of the resort are genuinely nice — especially the greenery and trees around the property, which made the place feel peaceful and relaxing. My parents also enjoyed their stay. However, the experience didn’t fully justify the price being charged. There seemed to be some lack of coordination between the front desk and restaurant staff, which created unnecessary inconvenience during the stay. The staff interaction also could have been more courteous and welcoming. Overall, the property has good potential because of the location and ambiance, but the pricing currently feels a bit too high for the experience offered.

Yelagiri is a gem of a hill station — easy to reach, with a gentle climb that takes barely 30 minutes from base to top, making it accessible for the whole family without the exhaustion of more demanding terrain. And MGM Whispering Winds is perfectly positioned to complement that experience — tucked away from the crowds and noise, it offers exactly the kind of quiet you come to the hills for. The cottages are well-spaced and thoughtfully designed, offering a sense of privacy that larger resort formats rarely manage. It feels less like a hotel stay and more like having your own little corner of the hillside. The food is simple, wholesome, and homely — the kind that feels right after a day outdoors, without any pretension. What truly elevates this property, however, is its people. The staff carry a warmth and courtesy that is genuinely refreshing. A special mention to Mr. Dinakaran, who handled my pre-visit enquiries with patience and clarity, setting the right expectations before we even arrived. And then there is Mr. Amarnath — who deserves more than a passing mention. From attentive service at the restaurant to helping us plan our day and ensuring every member of the family felt comfortable and looked after, he went well beyond his role. His care made the stay feel personal and memorable. The place is beautifully maintained. The rooms very well maintained (we stayed in individual cottages). The pool though small is neat and clean. The in-room food service could be maintained better especially when its booked to full capacity. Though our food arrived late Mr.Amanath at the restaurant handled it professionally and ensured we did not have a bitter memory of it. The morning buffet was delicious, the chef's preparation surpassed expectations. Overall, an excellent place spend a few days.
