We booked the deluxe room, but there was nothing deluxe about it. The room was extremely small, with barely enough space to even open our luggage. On top of that, the hotel asked for extra money under the name of GST which was higher than the price shown on Booking.com, making the experience feel misleading. The condition of the room was also disappointing the walls and bathroom had leakage issues and the geyser did not work properly. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay and definitely not worth the price.The location was also far from the Kashi vishwashwanath temple.

They run hotel in the name of "Hotel Atlantiis Suites Near Kashi Vishwanath temple" on booking.com. This Hotel is not near to the temple as they are claiming. Even it is not near to railway station. Lot of garbage was there in front of the hotel. Hotel has charged 5% extra over and above rates shown on booking.com (Rates on booking.com was already with GST). Hotel manager told me that that GST is charged by booking.com and our GST will be extra. Even they charged 2% extra for payment via credit card which is again absurd by any hotel. They don't give breakfast options so no use of breakfast. Commode seat was broken in one of booked room. Window glass was broken in one of the booked room.

The hotel asked for a way too higher price than the one we booked online for. On demanding an explanation, they started talking about taxes, which they failed to explain correctly. Upon confrontation, they started behaving rudely. It is highly unexpected of a place with this high rating to be like this

I'm fully enjoy my business trip with hotel Prabhawati Palace. The hotel have politely and well trained staff... Best facilities... Clean room... Breakfast and lunch are best. Hotel is value of money and full care of guests. I'm completely satisfied.😆😆🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍👍👍👍

Firstly, don’t believe the 10/10 reviews. Prabhawati means ‘impressive’. It’s not. On checking in we were overcharged by nearly £100. Apparently it’s not their fault and nothing can be done. We were within the free cancellation period…but we couldn’t cancel because we had already checked in. I have raised the matter with Bookingdotcom. So we were trapped for seven days. The room was nothing like the Deluxe rooms on the listing. There was no terrace/balcony/gym in fact we had a window which was dressed in green obscuring film and didn’t open - no hairdryer in the room. On day two a hot water heater was installed but the mess never cleared up. The breakfast was served in the room because there is NO restaurant on site. There was no choice. Of course the toilet seat was loose - the lid broken completely off and despite it having a ‘sanitised’ wrapper on arrival, someone needs to talk to the management about the application of a toilet brush. Was there anything good about the hotel? Well the chipmunks outside were jolly. There’s a muddy parking lot out front which is handy if you have a car ……….and apparently also if you want to relieve yourself in public. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked. But a squeegee for the floor wasn’t provided which made it a death trap when wet. Ah, did I also mention the room stunk? This isn’t just me griping, after a week we had been party to many conversations (as we were on the ground floor by reception) about the rooms, their cost and the smell. This hotel is so far away from what you came here to see, that for its location alone you shouldn’t choose it. We made a mistake - first in six years of travelling round India. We will take it on the chin, aware now that Varanasi was not the place we hoped it would be. It’s dirtier than Delhi and its people seem to be thieves. I know that’s unfair. I have always loved the Indian nation but one bad experience can have that effect on you.
