we had a pleasant stay in ashdale, the rooms were clean and toilets are spic and span. food was good but bit expensive since it's a star property. the location of the hotel is perfect and very near to Mall road

Property is location is awesome and stay was very pleasant. Very humble staffs and caring throughout. Stayed there for 2 days and food is also good. Definitely a place to visit if you need peace. Hotel staff also coordinated with travel agency for local site visits and it was a perfect holiday

Extremely disappointing. We were made to wait for more than half an hour even after confirming the cottage we wanted to stay at. The staff is unresponsive, rude and unprofessional. They are understaffed. It took them half an hour to get us a glass of water. The manager himself was defending this behaviour of his juniors. We wont recommend at all. Instead hotel La Niwasa or Swiss hotel & Spa are much better.

Near to mall road . Colonial summer cottage of princely state converted to heritage hotel . The management is under Raja and not ITC who only provide protocol . Room are ok . Staff is helpful. Ground floor room are wheelchair friendly . Food was good . Staff is polite and helpful . Restaurant is at ground floor so easy for my father . No lift in hotel which is true for many hotel inside city . Concept of Lift is low in nainital city . Kindly note that hotel is not under ITC management but supported by guidelines so finances and operation are under family of Raja . They didn't give us complementary water bottle on second day but happily filled them with RO water . Under iTC management such things would have been avoided therefore value of money in terms of location , heritage grandeur , receptive Staff but don't expect hotel chain level of working and freedom . Overall a nice boutique hotel if you want a heritage kind of hotel. Different from what I wanted. I prefer hotel chain hotels . But overall a good hotel

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for one night and opted for their highest category room, the heritage room. While the room itself was satisfactory, I found a few aspects that could be improved upon. In terms of the room layout, it included a small dining area with a 4-seater setup, as well as one sofa and two accent sofa chairs. However, the presence of a single small cupboard limited the storage space, which may not be ideal for families or those planning a longer stay. Additionally, I found the bathroom to be relatively compact compared to other luxury boutique hotels I have visited. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the hotel lacks any notable views, as it is surrounded by nearby houses. While the property itself is pleasant, I believe it falls short of meeting the criteria typically associated with a boutique luxury hotel in India. One area that left much to be desired was the breakfast spread. The variety of options was extremely limited, and I would have expected a wider selection given the hotel's categorization. Lastly, the check-out process was not as efficient as one would hope for. The procedure took longer than anticipated, causing some inconvenience.
