The Baba Hotel is located in an old haveli. Beautifully and richly decorated. Many of the original details have been preserved. A nice big room for a very reasonable price. And on top of all that special: the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. A nice, peaceful place to stay. We thank them for their hospitality and help.

Looks dingy and haunted. Had a stay a few years back and it was amazing. Came back but the property is not managed well.

Don’t order too many eggs. They are generous here.

My recent stay at this hotel left me with mixed feelings. While the exterior exudes heritage charm, the interior tells a different story. The reception and wall decor do a fine job of setting the heritage mood, but the rooms are in dire need of renovation. Some room locks were broken, necessitating a room change, only to reveal furniture that's seen better days. The bathrooms were not as clean as one would hope, and there were no hot water facilities - they'd bring you a bucket of hot water upon request. My visit in October 2023 was marred by an unsettling incident: they entered our room without permission, assuring us that our belongings were secure due to CCTV surveillance. While they eventually explained that maintenance required access, the lack of prior notice left a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism.

This is a budget hotel, very simplistic but sufficiently comfortable. It's a 3-star hotel and one shouldn't expect higher luxury. It was clean and well kempt. The art inside the hotel is interesting and add charm to the place. Getting hot water in bathroom can take a while since you have to call the front desk. However the staff is amazing friendly and pleasant. It's difficult to get public transport like bus or auto rickshaw but not impossible or grossly inconvenient.
