The primary guest must be at least 18 years of age to be able to check into the hotel.

Early Check in or Late check out is subject to availability at the hotel.

It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in. According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at the hotel. The identification proofs accepted are Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, and Passport (Pan is not accepted as valid ID). Without Original copy of valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check-in.

Stay of 1 child up to 5 years of age is complementary without the use of extra mattress.

Breakfast charges may be applicable for the child.

Extra mattress is provided for triple occupancy bookings.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel premises.

Should any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the hotel, the hotel reserves the right to take action against the guest.

We find Akkara Homestay is a good place for social get together ,food and stay.Natural lawns and the shelter with seats and tables on the river bank are all attractive.Two hundred years old rooms with wood panelling and furniture are very rare and special. We will not hesitate to recommend this resort to any one who likes village life with a proximity to urban area, Kottayam..ROY JOHN

Just went in for a function. The property looks spacing and along the Meenachil river. Has got ample parking and a good place for hosting 100-200 pax events. Good privacy and don't think loud music is a problem. Need to take a few narrow lanes and that's a catch but property opens up well to cater to a large crowd. The rooms were good which is what I was told.

Quiet a nice place to hangout with friends and family get-together.Infront of this place a river flow through and its a cenic beauty when we see.Overall the architecture of this building represent the history of our early days house.Nearby this property a ayervedic massage therapy is available.

A Serene Retreat by the Meenachil River. Akkarã Homestay and Ayurveda Center in Kottayam, Kerala, provided me with a delightful and isolated retreat in the enchanting month of May. This charming homestay, nestled on the serene banks of the Meenachil river, captured my heart with its captivating beauty. Upon arrival, the mesmerizing symphony of cicadas, with their rhythmic ticks and high-pitched whines, immediately transported me into a world of tranquility. The harmonious melody, accompanied by the picturesque views of the calm Meenachil river, created an atmosphere that was truly enchanting. I spent hours simply sitting on the riverbank, gazing at the soothing and cold water as it gracefully flowed through the landscape. The homestay itself exuded a peaceful ambiance, allowing guests like myself to disconnect from the chaos of daily life and reconnect with nature. The clean and tidy rooms provided a comfortable haven to unwind after a day of exploration. Though not extravagant, the accommodations offered all the necessary amenities and emanated a homely charm. During my stay, I indulged in the Ayurvedic Spa services offered at Akkarã. While the experience was satisfactory, it fell slightly short of my expectations. However, the serenity of the surroundings more than made up for this minor disappointment, making the overall experience worthwhile. Undoubtedly, the highlight of my stay was the idyllic location by the Meenachil river. The tranquility and natural beauty it exuded were unparalleled. The homestay's serene and isolated setting provided a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a truly therapeutic experience. In conclusion, Akkarã Homestay and Ayurveda Center provided me with a serene and beautiful retreat during my visit in May. I highly recommend Akkarã Homestay to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in the heart of Kerala.

Pathetic customer service. Really bad experience. I have booked a room for my parents after paying half of total amount in advance. I have requested for a ground floor room in view of a particular medical condition of my father( I have discussed in detail about the medical condition ) . They have agreed to give a ground floor room. We were traveling from a distant place and after reaching the property ( reaching the property itself was very difficult) we had to stand out side the reception for 10-15 min since reception was closed and one person opened the reception room after making multiple phone calls. Then he told ground floor room is not available since it was already allotted for a group, and no lift facility available for upper floors( father had a surgery few weeks back ) . So we were forced to look for some alternative options and we had roam around for 2-3 hours to find a suitable stay.
