I had the unfortunate experience of booking the Tivoli Boutique Hotel for my sister's engagement, scheduled for November 4th, 2023. Our interactions with the manager, Ketan Manchanda, were nothing short of a disappointment. It was evident that the promises made during the booking process were not honored.
Incident: Roof Collapse During Dinner - An Unforgettable Embarrassment: The most shocking and disgraceful incident of the evening was when the roof of the bartender area literally broke down, causing water to flow all over the area in front of all the guests during dinner. This was an utterly shameful and embarrassing situation that marred the event and left everyone in disbelief. The fact that Ketan Manchanda allowed such a hazardous situation to occur speaks volumes about his incompetence and utter disregard for the safety and satisfaction of the guests.
From the very beginning, we had discussed and paid for an elaborate flower decoration for the walls and the roof. However, our expectations were far from met. Ketan Manchanda not only failed to deliver on our agreed-upon decorations but also had the audacity to deny ever agreeing to such a decoration, leaving us dismayed.
The staff's negligence was evident as they failed to decorate the entrance and the party hall adequately. There was not even a signboard to display the names of the bride and groom, a fundamental oversight that was entirely Ketan Manchanda's responsibility.
The incompetence of the staff extended to the food service. As the bride's brother, I had specific requests for the food menu, which, according to the waiter, was readily available. However, the waitstaff exhibited laziness and a complete lack of professionalism, failing to serve the items I had requested, leaving me, as a guest and a close family member, unsatisfied and frustrated.
The delay in starting the music was another disappointing incident. My sister, the bride, was waiting on the stage for the DJ to commence, but the delay extended to a shocking 20 minutes. The DJ's equipment was so outdated that it couldn't even play a single song. To add insult to injury, the DJ's response to my sister's concerns was nothing short of rude, advising her to wait patiently.
Beyond these issues, the overall condition of the venue was unhygienic and far from the clean and welcoming environment we expected. The decor was nonexistent, contradicting our prior discussions and agreements. When we attempted to address these problems with Ketan Manchanda, he was conspicuously absent. Despite our repeated attempts to summon him, he was nowhere to be found. His complete absence in times of crisis underscored his lack of professionalism and accountability.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this venue to exercise extreme caution and think twice, especially when dealing with Ketan Manchanda. He is not only unprofessional but also a grossly incompetent manager. Our engagement event was a clear testament to his inability to fulfill promises, ensure safety, and provide even a basic level of service. My experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned, and I wholeheartedly condemn his actions and disregard for the well-being and happiness of his clients.
